There a number of options available to order your repeat prescriptions:
We can no longer accept telephone ordering of prescriptions.
Please ensure you allow 48 hours for regular repeated prescriptions to be available for collection but please note that these can only be collected Monday - Friday.
If you are being prescribed controlled drugs, we have a system in place for the collection of repeat prescriptions. For safety reasons, we will require signed authorisation from you if someone else is collecting the prescription on your behalf and evidence of identity from the person collecting the prescription.
We can now send prescriptions for controlled drugs directly to your nominated pharmacy. Please ask either at our reception or in your preferred pharmacy for them to register you for this service.
Help with NHS costs
In England, around 90% of prescription items are dispensed free. This includes exemptions from charging for those on low incomes, such as:
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website.
