Completed
Building Works
You
maybe aware that Boultham Park Medical Practice has
recently been involved with building work to add two
new consulting rooms to the doctor’s corridor.
This work has now been completed and we now have two
new state of the art consulting rooms. These are situated
at the end of the doctor’s corridor. You may
notice that the numbers for the doctors rooms have
changed as a result so look out for the new number
when you are called. Thank you for bearing with us
with the difficulties encountered throughout the building
work.

January 2010 you have been able to order repeat prescriptions
online. If you are interested in this please pass

Doctors
In
order to provide increased capacity for appointments
to see a doctor at Boultham Park Medical Practice,
we have now employed a sixth doctor who will start
work in early August. Dr Meera Acharya will be working
two and a half days per week. Dr Meera has come to
us highly recommended and will be a valued addition
to the wide range of skills already available at Boultham
Park Medical Practice.
Nursing
Team
In
order to improve the availability of appointments
for in house tasks, we have employed a new Healthcare
Assistant. Terri Debut is working for 20 hours per
week and is assisting our other Healthcare Assistant,
Tina Husband. Tina and Terri perform blood tests,
blood pressure checks and new patient checks. Our
most longstanding member of staff, Senior Nurse Mavis
Smith, has unfortunately announced that she will be
retiring. She has worked at Boultham Park Medical
Practice for the last twenty one years and has made
an enormous contribution to the standard of care provided
by the practice and we will of course be enormously
sad to see her go. She is reducing her hours from
2 days per week to 1 day per week from August through
to December and then unfortunately retiring from the
practice for good. We hope you will pass your best
wishes on to Mavis when you see her.
Practice Manager
Since
the departure of Mr Michael Ibbotson, we have recruited
a new Practice Manager, Mr Ray Didcock. Ray commenced
work as full-time Practice Manager at Boultham Park
Medical Practice in May. We are very pleased to welcome
Ray into his new role as he brings with him an invaluable
range of personal and professional skills which will
benefit Boultham Park Medical Practice enormously
and help with the future development of the practice
over the coming years.
